INTERN COUNSELLOR

I am the kind of therapist who can sit with your heaviest emotions and not flinch but I will also crack a joke or laugh with you when the moment calls for it. My work is grounded in community, chosen family, and cultural identity. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you it’s about being real together, getting curious, and building new ways of relating to yourself and the people who matter most. Think of me as equal parts steady presence and hype squad.
Theory
My practice is rooted in a person-centered approach, with threads of psychodynamic, gestalt, and emotionally focused work woven in. In plain English, I listen deeply, reflect what I notice, and invite you to explore the stories, relationships, and cultural contexts that shape who you are. I want our time together to feel like a space where all your messy, tender, fierce, and playful parts are welcome.

I Work Well With:

-
Immigrants, third culture kids, and anyone figuring out cultural identity.
-
South Asian and other racialized clients.
-
Queer, trans, and gender-diverse folks, specifically GBMSM population.
-
Those impacted by substance use disorders.
-
People in polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships.
-
Folks exploring kink, sex, intimacy, or untangling shame around desire and connection.
-
People navigating loneliness, anxiety, or attachment struggles.
-
People who sometimes stay up at night thinking about that one awkward thing they did in fifth grade.
My Identities & Experiences

I am a queer South Asian, living as an uninvited guest on the unceded lands of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations & lÉ™k̓ʷəŋən peoples. I have spent time in 2SLGBTQ+ health clinics and harm reduction settings, supporting folks navigating HIV stigma, sexual health struggles, and systemic barriers. When I am not in the therapy room, you will find me lifting weights, cooking way too much food, or thriving in queer community spaces. I bring my lived experiences of therapy, community, and healing into the room because I know firsthand that being truly seen can be life-changing.
